68 year old, Jon Jay ‘Quiz” Quesnell of Wheatfield, passed away September 6, 2025, with his loving family around him.

On November 4, 1956, in Harrisville, Michigan, Jon was born to Harold ”Bill” and Blanche (Cleary) Quesnell. Jon was an Ogemaw Heights High School graduate. He worked for US Steel in the Tin Mill as a Welder. Jon married the love of his life, Mary Ceranowski on March 17, 1990. Jon enjoyed working on old cars with his sons, Aaron and Jon. He has a 1974 Corvette, and a 1974 Buick. Jon enjoyed playing practical jokes on his daughter Renee, looking forward to many trips to Michigan to spend summers with his daughter Tara, and he was most proud of a raised garden bed that he built with his daughter, Paige. He fiercely loved his friends and family.

Jon is survived by his loving family: wife: Mary, children: Aaron (Stacie) Chandler, Renee (Danny Valentine) Chandler, Tara Quesnell, Paige Quesnell, Jon (Jeannie) Quesnell, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Harold “Bill” Quesnell and Pamela Felipe.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Eva Jefferies, and grandson: Tyler Chandler.

Per Jon’s wishes cremation will take place, and his ashes will be interred at a later time.

A Celebration of Life for Jon will take place on November 1, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wheatfield American Legion, Post 406. Please reach out to a family member for more details or if you would like to donate a dish.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for Jon’s car fund.
