Guestbook

Dear Donna, Stephany, Jacob, Grandkids, and brothers and sisters.
Kasey and I were very saddened to hear that cousin Joe had passed. In early February, Kasey and I, and Joe's sister Marilyn and husband Tom were able to meet Joe at an Amish restaurant in Sarasota. After finding a place to park his truck we all enjoyed a relaxing dinner. Joe talked about the orange-hauling business and also a little politics, but mostly he talked about his family. It was obvious he missed them very much. Earlier in December I talked to Joe on the phone. He was already in Florida hauling oranges but said he was looking forward to returning to Indiana for the Christmas holidays. He mentioned that he always tried to take his daughter Stephany out Christmas shopping. I could tell that meant a lot to him. We are so glad we had that recent chance to spend time with Joe and will value that memory of him.
Joe was the kind of person you always enjoyed being around. As the song says he was a simple kind of man - hardworking, family-loving, and with a strong faith in God. We will miss him very much.

My sincere condolences to Donna and family.
I knew Joe since the 6th grade, and we had a lot in common.
I made a run with Joe once during drying season while he has hauling gas. He had been running hard and wanted me to drive so he could get some rest. I've never forgotten that.
I know he will be missed here on earth, but i believe that we will see him again in Heaven.

We share many memories with Joe and Donna especially from church and fire department days. We officiated at many events in the lives of the family and extended family. Officiating Joe and Donna's wedding just one year after our own marriage was a great privilege. Joe will be missed but surely remembered by all. Kingery and Laura Clingenpeel.
