Joseph Gass

75 year old, Joseph Gass, of DeMotte, passed away July 22, 2021, at his home with his loving family around him.

On March 31, 1946, Joseph was born to Joseph W. & Wanda (Ciba) Gass, in Hammond, Indiana. Joseph was a Chemical Operator for M & T Chemical. He married the love of his life Verna Taylor, in Pawpaw, Michigan on May 26, 1966. Joseph liked porch parties, and hanging out with friends drinking beer. He especially loved his cars, NASCAR, and watching stock car races at Illiana Motor Speedway.

Joseph is survived by his loving family: wife: Verna, daughter: Amanda, siblings: Wanda Mary Haupt, Tom (Marla) Gass, Donna (Brian) Prange, sister-in-law: Patricia Gass, many nieces & nephews, cousins and especially his fur babies.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Paul Gass, sister: Theresa Gass, and brother-in-law: Thomas R. Haupt.

Per Joseph’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
