Judith A. Tanner

88 year old, Judith A. Tanner, of Francesville, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2023, with most of her family by her side.

Judith was born to Lawrence and Veleta (Stiller) Beiswanger, on January 5, 1935, in Francesville, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Don Tanner, on November 25, 1953, in Francesville, at her parent’s home. She loved flowers of all kinds, gardening and definitely had a green thumb. She was a talented accordion player and was asked to play for special events. She loved to serve the Lord in any possible way. She taught Sunday School, VBS and sponsored Youth Groups for many years. If you were new to the neighborhood, you were sure to get a visit, ask if you had a home church and likely to receive a loaf of homemade Banana Bread.

Judith is survived by her loving family: husband: Don, children: Gary (Betsy) Tanner, Glenn (Darla) Tanner, Gene (Kim) Tanner, Lynette (Roger) Cavness, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild on the way, 1 brother: Connie Beiswanger and sister-in-law: Sandy Beiswanger.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, 2 siblings: Bonnie (Lester) Koebcke, and Jerry Beiswanger.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 3:00 until 7:00 (EST – fast time) on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the Medaryville Christian Church. Services for Judith will take place at 11:00 a.m. (EST – fast time) on Monday, July 24, 2023 with Dr Thomas Tanner officiating.
