Julia F. Howes

84 year old, Julia F. Howes, of Wheatfield, passed away March 15, 2019.

On December 21, 1934, in Best, Kentucky, Julia was born to Seldon and Sarah (Messer) Bailey. Julia married Norman Howes Jr. on October 16, 1954. She enjoyed being a homemaker/mother and attending the Home Ec. Club meetings. She loved to bake, socialize, and play bingo. She avidly attended church functions at the United Baptist Church of Gillam Township.

Julia is survived by her daughter: Regina Hancock, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, and sisters: Edith Hampton and Freda Lawyer.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Sandra jean, son: Walter, brothers: Haskell and Buford, sister: Lorraine.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Julia will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
