Julius Brooks

73 year old, Julius Brooks, of Rensselaer, passed away March 26, 2020, with his loving family around him.

On February 10, 1947, Julius was born to Harrison and Lottie (lsenhour) Brooks in Charlotte, North Carolina. Julius served in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Susan Koch on May 9, 1970, in Hammond, Indiana. He was a member of the Pipefitters Local #597, and the Masonic Lodge in Highland for a time.

Julius is survived by his wife: Susan, children: Tracie Marie (James) Smoot, and Barbie Sue (Kenny) Evans, 5 grandchildren: Puck, Zen, Bodhi Smoot, Riley and Mason Evans, and sister Francis Vincent.

Julius was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Connie Knight & Betty Newlin.

Private graveside services will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
