Karen Sue Bailey

72 year old, Karen Sue Bailey, of Wolcott, passed away on January 10, 2026.

On October 4, 1953, Sue was born to Floyd and Donna (Daily) Burge, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Donald Bailey, on November 17, 1982, in Covington, Indiana. Sue worked at Syndicate Sales, but the job that meant the most to her was being the loving mother and grandmother of her family. She enjoyed dirt track racing, Nascar, word searches, Hallmark movies, and searching for treasures at yard sales and flea markets. Sue was the heart of her family, taking care of them, giving them all unconditional love, and always making sure no one left hungry.

Sue is survived by her husband, children: Tammy (Patricia) Bailey-Doege, Jennifer (Josh Brugman) Bailey, grandchildren: Sophie, Maddison, Anthony, Zackery, Benjamin, Jeff, Jamie, Christopher, Bailey, Katie, Jamie B, many great-grandchildren, siblings: Sandra Meeks, Larry (Lillian) Burge, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog: Brighten.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, stepson: James Clemons, granddaughter: Rayna Clemons, brother: Jerry Burge, sister: Wendy Byrd, and brother-in-law: Roger Meeks.

Per Sue’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
