Karen Black

83 year old, Karen A. Black, of Wheatfield, passed away June 23, 2023.

Karen was born on January 27, 1940 in Jasper County, Indiana to Pete and Carrie (Gulbransen) Myers. She married the love of her life, Donald Black, on November 2, 1957 in Wheatfield. Karen worked many years as a clerk at the Wheatfield Liquor Store. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. Karen always loved to find treasures at the flea markets or yard sales.

Karen is survived by her children: Mike (Gwen) Black, Donna Black, grandchildren: Cody Black, Maegan (Josh) Corie, 4 great-grandchildren, and brother: Neil (Helen) Myers.

Karen is preceded by her parents, husband: Donald Black, and grandson: Casey Black.

A graveside service for Karen will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
