Kenneth L Black

86 year old, Kenneth Black, of Wheatfield, passed away at his home on October 27, 2021.

On February 10, 1935, Kenneth was born to Harold and Minnie (Schultz) Black in Hobart, Indiana. Ken was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He served as an MP with the rank of SGT for the U.S. Army at Arlington, Virginia for 3 years. He came home to be a union carpenter for Local #1005 for 50 years.

Ken is survived by his nephews: Kevin Black and Mike Black, and niece: Donna Black.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: James Black and Donald Black, and niece: Connie Black.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rensselaer, Indiana. Services for Ken will take place at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Davie Mueller officiating. Interment will follow at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorials are requested for the St. John’s Lutheran Church.
