Larry Peters

87 year old, Larry W. Peters, of Lowell, passed away September 7, 2023.

On September 20, 1935, Larry was born to Wayne and Halena (Ridgley) Peters in Hammond, Indiana. Larry was a U.S. Navy Veteran, who worked as a sonarman. He later worked as an E.M.T. at Inland Steel, and as a Police Officer in Harvey, Illinois. Larry is most known for his 50 + years as a barber in both the Wheatfield and DeMotte areas. Larry was a people person, loved riding his lawnmower, and was a Freemason. Larry loved cooking, and being with his family.

Larry is survived by his beloved fiance’: Vicki Fouch, and his children: Tracey (Sheri) Peters, Ronnie (Chris) Peters, Kevin (Beth) Peters, Amie (Dan) Laven, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. He was blessed to have bonus daughters: Kelly (Mark) Hargis and Heather (Jay) Embery and 4 bonus grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Beverly Termunde, and brother: Richard Peters.

Per Larry’s wishes cremation will take place.
