Lawrence 'Larry' Siegfried

90 year old, Lawrence ‘Larry’ Siegfried, of Wheatfield, passed away March 4, 2026, at home with his loving family around him.

On December 3, 1935, Larry was born to Harry and Odelia (Kratz) Siegfried, in Calumet City, Illinois. He graduated from Bishop Knoll High School. Larry served in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Gloria Biagini on December 27, 1986, in Azusa, California. Larry worked as a millwright. He was an avid Bears fan, enjoyed fishing, raising roses, and baking.

Larry is survived by his loving wife: Gloria, children: Terri Nitz, Lynn Sylvester, Nanci (Bill) Sanderfur, Michele Veldhuizen, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister: Gloria Siegfried, and niece: Odelia (Charles) Baker.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: George Siegfried, Richard ‘Toy’ Siegfried, Harold Siegfried, Gerald Siegfried, sisters: Gertrude Wieciech, Rosemary Roesler, Betty LeBreton, and son-in-law: Donald Veldhuizen.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Interment for Larry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Wheatfield Cemetery with a Military Honors Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
