Leroy 'Bub' David

85 year old, Leroy E. ‘Bub’ David, of Rensselaer, passed away September 24, 2021 at home with his loving family around him.

Bub was born on November 8, 1935, in Adah, Pennsylvania to Floyd and Stella (Lilley) David. He was a pipe fitter at U.S. Steel, after serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Gary Sportsmen Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles of Gary, and American Legion Post #29.

Leroy is survived by his family: daughter: Dawn (Patrick) Steinke, grandchildren: Isra (Ashley) Hendon and Courtney Schleman, great-grandchildren: Nevaeh & Nia Hendon.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings: 2 infants, William, Clarence, Robert, Ray, Elizabeth, Sara, Helen, and Dorothy.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.  Interment will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Gary, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Jasper County Senior Center, or Southern Care Hospice, Lafayette, Indiana.
