Lois Jane Pettet

94 year old, Lois Jane Pettet, of Rensselaer, passed away March 17, 2024, at her home, with her family around her.

On May 15, 1929, in Jasper County, Indiana, Lois was born to Charles and Anna Blanche (Piatt) Florence. Lois married the love of her life, Willis Pettet Sr., on April 22, 1962 at the Virgie Christian Church. Lois liked to crochet, and look after the grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her loving family: husband: Willis Sr., children: Willis (Carol) Pettet Jr, Nancy Dunlap, Peggy Williams, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters: Mary Herre and Loise Messman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on March 23, 2024 at the Virgie Christian Church, Virgie, Indiana. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the church at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Pastor William Taylor officiating.

Per Lois’ wishes cremation has taken place.
