Lorraine Bernice Drake

100 year old, Lorraine Bernice Drake, of Fair Oaks, passed away March 15 with her loving family around her.

On August 12, 1921, Lorraine was born in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Emma Maria Anna (Oldenberg) Raske. Lorraine married the love of her life, Clarence Drake on December 31, 1937. Lorraine worked for St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer as a kitchen worker, cook, etc. for 44+ years. She enjoyed making homemade noodles!

Lorraine is survived by four of her children: Ruth Froedge, Evelyn Raske & Carl, Phyllis Jean Bushman, Dolly Drake, 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Drake, and children: Delbert Drake, Clarence (Sonny) Drake, Rita Drake, Walker Sue LaCosse, Karen Denton and Billy Drake, and siblings: Rita Bell, Margaret Bell, and Frank Raske.

Per Lorraine’s wishes cremation will take place and her ashes will be interred at Fair Oaks Cemetery, on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
