Lorraine Schereck

Lorraine Schereck, 75, passed away at her home on August 22, 2025.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, Danny and Kevin, their wives, Tera and Anne and her grandchildren, Wesley, Maxine & Hutch. Lorraine grew up in the St. Gall Parish on the southwest side of Chicago, attending Maria & Jones high schools. After working as a beautician, she joined the Chicago Police Department in 1980, where she worked for 30 years until her retirement in 2010. She settled in Medaryville, Indiana, with her beloved dog Chica to be closer to family. She will be remembered by her friends, neighbors and family for her big laugh, quick sense of humor and her generosity.

She rests in peace now with her parents, Lawrence “Red” & Helen Schereck and her brother Ronny.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
