Louis 'Gene' Gilbert

53 year old, Louis ‘Gene’ Gilbert, passed away December 2, 2011, at his home in Fair Oaks, Indiana.

On July 2, 1958, Gene was born to James and Christine (nee: DeMoss) Gilbert in Rensselaer, Indiana.  Gene participated in the National Guard. Gene worked at demolition for construction. He was a member of ABATE.

Gene is survived by his parents, daughter: Mindi (Brian) Chelich, son: Adam Gilbert, 2 grandchildren: Devon and Hailey, siblings: Tim (Fern) Gilbert, Jerry Gilbert, Terry (Sherri) Gilbert, Jackie (Darren) Brooks, Doug (Vicki) Gilbert, Cindy (Mike) Baxter, Jim (Lori) Gilbert Jr., Christine (Chris) McPeters, John Gilbert, sister-in-law: Julie Gilbert, and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother: Randy Gilbert.

Per Gene’s wishes cremation has taken place.
