66 year old, Lupe Alejandro Castillo, of Wheatfield, passed away on June 15, 2024, unexpectedly in New Braunsfels, Texas.
On February 23, 1958, Lupe was born to Alejandro and Minerva (Ponce) Castillo in Chicago, Illinois. He was a machine operator for the Local 150 Operators Union. Lupe loved to ride motorcycles and horses. He enjoyed rodeos, and was a bull rider like his father. Lupe was a pool player, but most importantly he loved being a grandpa and spoiling his grandchildren.
Lupe is survived by his children: Alex (Tonya Keen) Castillo, Christina Castillo, Sara (Dave) Rivera, Sonya (Steve Heaton) Castillo, grandchildren: Santana, Ariel, Hayden, Mia, Julian, Evie, Andres, Isaac, Beya, Urijah, Zuri, 2 great-grandchildren, and his first love: Delia Castillo.
Lupe is preceded in death by his parents, and his boy: Zeus the pitbull.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Lupe will take place at Boersma Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, with Deacon Joe Van Schepen officiating. Interment will follow at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Cemetery, Wheatfield, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
