Lynnsi Nellison Sandonato

42 year old, Lynnsi Nellison Sandonato, of Wheatfield, passed away on September 20, 2026, at home with her loving family surrounding her.

On March 26, 1984, Lynnsi was born to Terry Crim and Brenda (Sculley) Jones, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, class of 2002, went on to cosmetology school, got a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue, and finally a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Lynnsi married the love of her life, Tommy Sandonato, on March 14, 2011. She was one who never wanted to sit still. Lynnsi was a cosmetologist, owned Elle & Main Boutique, was a master cake maker, and a beloved 3rd grade teacher at Wheatfield Elementary School. She was a proud military wife, who loved to support her United States Army husband. Lynnsi enjoyed travelling, camping, and was the one who taught her sons how to fish.

Lynnsi is survived by her mother: Brenda Jones, husband: Tommy Sandonato, children: Henry Sandonato, Harrison Sandonato, sister: Meggin (Kevin) Knoerzer, brother: Cody (Felicia) Jones, nieces: Sophie, Olivia, Avril, nephews: Noah, Axel, Ari, Theo, Junah, grandmother: Nellie Sculley, stepmother: Mary Crim, stepfather: Bobby Jones, in-laws: Thomas (Richell) Sandonato, and sister-in-laws: Sarah (Angel) Colon, and Abbie (David) Walstra.

Lynnsi was preceded in death by her father: Terry Crim.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at First Church, 5387 W. St. Rd. 10, Wheatfield, Indiana. Funeral Services for Lynnsi will be held at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor John Hill officiating. Graveside Services for Lynnsi will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for her sons’ college funds.
