Margaret Nichols

82 year old, Margaret L. (nee: Wenrick) Nichols, of Kniman, passed away July 31, 2006 at VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso.

On March 4, 1924, Margaret was born to George and Nora (nee: Baker) Wenrick in North Manchester, Indiana.  On August 16, 1940, Margaret married the love of her life, George Nichols, who preceded her in death.  Margaret worked at Porter Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department for more than 20 years.  Margaret was a member of the Kniman Methodist Church, the Royal Neighbors of America, and the Kniman Home Ec. Club.  She also owned Margaret’s Antiques in Hebron.

Margaret is survived by Arnold ( Doloris ) Nichols, Patricia ( Robert ) Mowbray, Michael ( Frances ) Nichols, George ( Jeanne ) Nichols, and Terry ( Lorrie ) Nichols, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother, James ( Elsie ) Wenrick.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, George, one grandson, three brothers and one sister.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, In.  Services for Margaret will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Al Smith officiating.  Interment will take place at the Hebron Cemetery, Hebron, In.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to VNA Hospice.
