Marie Crownover-Helzer

93 year old, C. Marie Crownover-Helzer, of Wheatfield, passed away January 24, 2019, with her loving family around her.

On June 22, 1925, Marie was born to Cecil and Opal (Corwin) Park in Davenport, Iowa. Marie was a retail grocery clerk for Stowers & Son Grocery for many years.

Marie is survived by her children: Cecil J. (Carol) Crownover, Larry D. Crownover, and Doris M Marak, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister: Hazel Helton, and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husbands: Louie ‘Shorty’ Crownover, & Harlan Helzer, parents: Cecil and Opal, and son: William ‘Bill’ Crownover, siblings: Betty Willkins and Dick Hagler.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on January 27, 2019, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Marie will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Patterson officiating. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Wheatfield Cemetery.
