Martin 'Marty' Kaluf

72-year-old, Martin ‘Marty’ Kaluf, of Wheatfield, passed away September 30, 2026 at his home.

On March 23, 1954, Marty was born in Rensselaer, to John and Marjorie (Musch) Kaluf. He graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, class of 1973. He married the love of his life, Barb Blankenbaker on June 29, 1971 at the DeMotte American Reformed Church. A hard-working man, he always sought to help others around him. Spending the bulk of his working life as the proud owner of Fase-Kaluf Appliances in DeMotte and Rensselaer. He loved his family, grandkids, friends and his customers. Marty enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, woodworking, and gardening. He especially enjoyed fixing ‘things’ and tinkering with ‘things’.

Marty is survived by his loving family: wife: Barb, children: Jeremy (Joy) Kaluf, Lisa (Chris) Rudolph, David (Kimberly) Kaluf, Jennifer (Dan) Hassan, Travis Kaluf, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way, daughter-in-law: Jennifer (late Dan) Kaluf and siblings: Connie (George) Altman, Rick (Jean) Kaluf, and Marlene (Greg) Kraai.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, son: Dan Kaluf, and brothers: Gary Kaluf and Terry Kaluf.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Grace Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Marty will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Church, with Pastor Kyle Mitchell officiating.
