Mary Burger

90 year old, Mary Burger of Wheatfield, passed away April 6, 2019 at her home with her loving family around her.

On March 7, 1929, Mary was born to Herman and Virgil (Payne) Stewart in Wheatfield, Indiana. Mary attended Wheatfield High School, and married the love of her life, Lester Burger on October 26, 1951, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Mary was a housewife/homemaker, and also helped with Kindergarten with Lois Ricker for 2 years.

Mary is survived by her loving family, children: Rebecca Krug, Patricia (John) Grieger, Virginia Burger, Timothy Burger, 4 grandchildren: Kathie (David) Steinberg, Christopher Krug, Shannon Bailey, Ashleigh (Don) Witt, and 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, sister: Judy Hessling, and her beloved Samantha.

Mary was preceded in death by her: husband: Lester, son-in-law: Fred Krug, and brother-in-law: Larry Hessling, and parents: Herman & Virgil.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mary will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 with Pastor Tim Hester officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
