Mary E. Flippo

86 year old, Mary E. Flippo, of Rensselaer, passed away January 31, 2026, with her loving family around her.

On August 17, 1939, in Hodgenville, Kentucky, to Ira and Ellen (Crane) Ford. She married the love of her life, Dennis Flippo Sr. Mary enjoyed being a housewife, mother, and especially grandmother. Her hobbies were housekeeping, flower gardens, and her house plants.

Mary is survived by her loving family: children: Dennis (Pamela) Flippo Jr., Edwin (Sheila) Flippo, Andrea Elsharif, and Annette (Doug) Brown, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Tom (Barbara) Ford, and Sue Philpott.

Mary was preceded in death by her, husband: Dennis Sr., parents: Ira and Ellen Ford, grandson: Derrick Flippo, and siblings: Larry Ford, Nicolette Ford, and Edna Price.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will take place Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating.

Interment will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
