Mary E. Stowers

94 year old, Mary E. Stowers, of Wheatfield, passed away October 31, 2018.

On June 29, 1924, in Fair Oaks, Indiana, Mary was born to Albert and Myrtle (Odle) Rowan. Mary married Clarence ‘Dyke’ Stowers on May 25, 1941. Mary worked at Stower’s and Son Grocery, as a Cashier for many years.

Mary is survived by her granddaughter: Shawn Risner, great-grandson: Kyle (Breann) Risner and sister: Grace Handley.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence ‘Dyke’ Stowers, daughter and son-in-law: Linda (Gene) Risner, an infant son, parents: Albert & Myrtle, 3 brothers: Robert Rowan, John ‘Jack’ Rowan, and Glen ‘Bud’ Rowan, and 3 sisters: Della Mattocks, Jessie Bozell, Bethel McFadden.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mary will take place on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Hye Sook Kim officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
