Maverik Garcia

2 year old, Maverik Garcia, passed away September 8, 2022,

On December 1, 2019, Maverik was born to Corey Garcia and Mekayla Garcia in South Bend, Indiana. Maverik liked to watch Coco Melon (Coco Money), make dinosaur noises, and pretending to be a zombie. He especially liked playing rough, and playing with a nerf gun. He was always happy and smiling.

Maverik is survived by his parents: Corey Garcia and Mekayla Garcia, siblings: Jaxon Smith, Rose Smith, Millennium Garcia, grandparents: Jody Garcia (Raul Clement Gonzales), Jaime Garcia, Wendy Garcia (Paul Stevenson), great-grandparents: Mitchell Bailey, Martha Garcia, Susan Logan, great-great-grandfather: Willie Miller, and lots of aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Maverik was preceded in death by his grandfather: Steve Garcia, great-grandmother: Ruthlene Bailey, great-grandfathers: Rodger Logan and Jerry Garcia, and great-great-grandmother: Mildred Miller, great-grandparents: Rose Garcia and Angel Garcia.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 to 5:00 (CST) on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Maverik will take place at 5:00 (CST) p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Thomas Dewlen officiating.

Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
