Melissa "Sue" Sommers

72 year old, Melissa ‘Sue’ Sommers, of LaCrosse, passed away April 8, 2024, at her home.

On September 10, 1951, Sue was born to Melvon ‘Andy’ and Julia (White) Eaton, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She graduated from Wheatfield High School, class of 1969. Sue was a factory worker. She had a collection of rabbit figurines. She loved to cook, and enjoyed her family.

Sue is survived by her sons: Chris (Tanya) Gibson, and Chad Gibson, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and sister: Laura Charlesworth.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Byron Sommers, son: Clinton Gibson, sisters: Betty Eaton-Prater, and Judy Kay Shaffer.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St, Wheatfield, Indiana.

Per Sue’s wishes cremation will take place.
