Michael Hanewich

46 year old, Michael Dean Hanewich of Rensselaer, passed away April 3, 2002 due to an automobile accident.

On December 19, 1955, Mike was born to Alex and Ruth (Allyn) Hanewich in Rensselaer, Indiana. Mike graduated from Kankakee Valley High School. Mike married Sheila K. Uzzle on March 20, 1976 in DeMotte. He was employed at USX 1014 as a heavy equipment operator for 10.5 years. He also enjoyed farming. Mike was a member of the Good Fellows at USX.

Mike is survived by his wife: Sheila, children: Matthew Hanewich, Lauren Hanewich, Brian Hanewich, granddaughter: Hailey N. Huff, mother: Ruth, siblings: Gloria Hicks, Karen (John) Sytsma, Barbara (Nick) Tillema, Lynn (Steve) Waymouth, and Tim (Laura) Hanewich.

Mike was preceded in death by his father: Alex Hanewich and brother: Thomas Hanewich.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2002 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mike will take place at the funeral home on Monday, April 8, 2002, with Rev. Al Smith and Fr. Timothy McFarland officiating with interment in the Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, Indiana.
