Michael A. Meyers

61 year old, Michael A. Meyers, of Wheatfield, passed away unexpectedly January 31, 2023.

On October 2, 1961, Michael was born to Gracie (Shepherd) Meyers-Helton and the late: John F Meyers, in Rensselaer, Indiana. Mike graduated from Kankakee Valley High School. He was a carpenter for Dodrill Construction. Mike was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Mike was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Wheatfield Post #406.

Mike is survived by his mother: Gracie Helton, and step-brothers: Devon Jones Jr., Rick (Rhonda) Helton, and Scott (Debbi) Helton, several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father: John Meyers, sister: Wendy Gross, and step-fathers: Devon Jones Sr., and Vernon Helton, step-sister: Connie Jo Davis.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. Services for Mike will take place at the funeral home Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Joel Gilbert officiating. Graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wheatfield American Legion Post #406, Wreaths Across America (2023).
