91 year old, Myrtle Miller, of Rensselaer, passed away February 20, 2019.
On November 1, 1927, Myrtle was born in Isaben, West Virginia to Jason and Rachel (Terry) Richie. She married the love of her life, Floyd Miller on March 26, 1949, in Hindman, Kentucky. She worked as a caseworker assistant for Jasper County Welfare Department. She loved to make quilts, and crochet afghans. She helped to repair aircraft during WWII.
Myrtle is survived by her children: Vernon (Charlene) Richie, Bonnie (Bill) Huff, Connie (Michael) Bowman, and Vanessa Miller, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, and brother Norman (Joyce) Richie.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd Miller, her parents, son: Amos Richie, great-grandson: Daril Richie, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 (CST) on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Myrtle will take place at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on Monday, February 25, 2019; at the United Baptist Church of Gillam Township with Pastor John Miller officiating, interment will follow at the Richie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the United Baptist Church of Gillam Township.
