Nellie L. Sculley

90 year old, Nellie L. Sculley, of Wheatfield, passed away October 13, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

On October 13, 1936, Nellie was born to Earl Sr. and Lillian (Bailey) Whited, in Wheatfield, Indiana. She graduated from Tefft High School, class of 1954. Nellie married her lifelong love, Rev. Roger Sculley, on August 3, 1955, who precedes her. She spent her life as a pastor’s wife, homemaker, and family matriarch, taking care of her children and her favorites, her grandchildren. Nellie loved gardening, and growing flowers, feeding the birds, and watching the butterflies.

Nellie is survived by her children: Linda (Mark) Kingma, Peggy (Greg) Smith, Brenda Jones, Kim (Mark) Jones, Daryl (Wendy) Sculley, 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and brother: Richard (Edna) Whited.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Rev. Roger Sculley, son: Randy Sculley, granddaughter: Lynnsi Sandonato, brothers: Earl Whited Jr., William Whited, Robert Whited, George Whited, and sisters: Lula Jarvis, Geneva Misch, Snick Vedeen, and Geraldine Jones.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 11549 N. St. Rd. 49, Wheatfield. A Funeral Service for Nellie will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Craig Smith and Pastor Kenny Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.
