Ova J Davis Sr.

89 year old, Ova J. Davis Sr., of Kouts, passed away September 22, 2025.

On October 4, 1935, Ova was born to Nathan and Joanie (Collins) Davis, in Gage, Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army for a period of time. Ova was a life-time member of the Kouts American Legion Post 301, and a life-time member of the Moose Lodge #783. Ova married the love of his life, Barbara J Conley on August 11, 1956, in Rensselaer, Indiana. He worked for Ford Motor Company, for 33 years.

Ova is survived by his son: Ova (Mary Beth) Davis Jr., 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Ova was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara, children: Debra Bose, Gary Davis, Lola Davis, and Tracey Jasiak, siblings: Gertie Davis, Bertie Davis-Owens, Mary Helen Davis-Garling, Alva Dean Davis-Filpot, and Adam Davis.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A Pilgrim service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2025.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Kouts, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kouts American Legion Post #301, or the Moose Lodge #783
