Patricia Hilton

84 year old, Patricia J. Hilton, of DeMotte, passed away on September 24, 2025, at home with her loving family around her.

On October 24, 1940, Pat was born to George and Grace (DeYoung) Schaefer, in DeMotte, Indiana. On March 3, 1956, she married the love of her life, Rosco Hilton, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2025. After a long battle with cancer, Pat is once again with “Hon”.

After raising her family, Pat worked at Schuringa Egg Ranch and later after their closure, she did janitorial work at the DeMotte Post Office. Pat loved to go to Shipshewana. She and Rosco would watch the Amish carriages go by and drive by their farms. She was happiest when spending time with family and sharing a meal, especially with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her heart.

Pat is survived by her children: Rocky (Joan) Hilton, Lisa (Joe) Davis, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Tom (Pat) Schaefer, and Bob (Kate) Schaefer.

She was preceded in death by one sister: Barb (Skeets) O’Brien.

Per Pat’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life for Pat will be held at a later date.
