Paul D. Carter

62 year old, Paul Douglas Carter, of Peru, passed away May 29, 2026.

On August 7, 1963, Paul was born to Orville Sr. and Essie (Wireman) Carter, in Lafayette, Indiana. He worked as a mechanic on small engines. Paul was an ornery man, who loved to fish, and always was working with his hands.

Paul is survived by his children: Shanon Carter, Tiffani Carter, Sabrina Carter, Paul Albertson, Nathaniel Albertson, Desarae (Jimmie) Piper, Chantel (Michael) Shockley, 15 grandchildren, sister: Debbie (Butch) Cook, and his beloved dog: Biscuit.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Charles Carter, Orville Carter Jr., and sisters: Patty Archer, Mary Robbins, and Shirley Garner.

Per Paul’s wishes cremation will take place. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Paul’s life, first on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. CST, at the Wheatfield American LegionPost 406, 11768 N 80 W, Wheatfield. Another Celebration will be held on his birthday, Friday, August 7, 2026 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. CST at Robinson’s Lake, 5240 South Liverpool Road, Hobart, Indiana. Paul enjoyed good times and good foods and his family hopes you can join them and enjoy a potluck in his honor at one of his favorite places.
