Peter C. Kargas

85 year old, Peter C. Kargas, of DeMotte, passed away November 9, 2023.

On August 29, 1938, Peter was born to Christ Kargas and Ann (Mizanin) Drake, in Chicago, Illinois. Peter married Irene May Zahrndt on July 30, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois. Peter served in the U.S. Navy. He loved to decorate for every holiday, build model trains and ships, macrame’, and do flower arranging.

Peter is survived by his daughter: Dawn (John Kmetz) Zubrenic, four grandchildren: Nicholas (Meghan) Valcich, Katie Valcich, Allison Zubrenic, and Audrey Zubrenic, and three + one great-grandchildren.

Peter was preceded in death by his wife: Irene, parents, 11 siblings: Robert, Lillian, Dorothy, Richard, Cookie, John, Michael, Nancy, and 3 infant siblings.

Per Peter’s wishes cremation will take place.
