Robert 'Bob' White

72 year old, Robert ‘Bob’ White, of Merrillville, passed away May 8, 2022.

Bob was born on April 16, 1950, to Elmer L. and Dorothy L. (Barker) White, in Hammond, Indiana. He graduated in 1968. He married the love of his life, Phyllis E. Curry, on February 14, 1973, at the Methodist Church, in Griffith, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver, for A & D Trucking.

He served in Kiwanis for 6 years, 1 year as the Merrillville Kiwanis president. Bob was also an avid wood carver and craftsman, enjoyed boating and fishing, motorcycle rider, and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his loving family: wife: Phyllis, children: Kelly (Shawn) McMunn, Kristina (Austen) Robison, Kim White, grandchildren: Cameron, Chloe, Charlotte, Kane, sister: Judi Zuidema.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Tom.

Per Bob’s wishes cremation will take place.
