Robert A. Brockway

47 year old, Robert A. Brockway Jr., of DeMotte, passed away from an auto accident on February 21, 2023.

Bobby was born on September 12, 1975, to Robert A. Brockway Sr., and Debra (Soberg) Brockway-Burns. Bobby worked in the maintenance department (MTE) at NIPSCO’s power production, Track Shot Live. He enjoyed demolition derbies where he built, smashed and fixed it all again.

Bobby is survived by his family: children: Kody Self, Alexis Brockway, father: Robert (Carrie) Brockway, mother: Debra (George) Brockway-Burns, brother: Kevin (Julie) Carter, sister: Tonya (Max) Tromp, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a huge derby family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his sister: Krystee Marie Brockway, grandparents: Francis & Concetta Brockway, Clarence Donald Soberg, and Emma (Soberg) Hedge, uncle: Albert Brockway, aunt & uncle: Rich & Christine Winn, aunt: Patricia Gomez.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Bobby will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Graveside services will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, 2791 Willowdale Road, Portage, Indiana on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his children.
