Robert R. Reel Sr.

70 year old, Robert ‘Robb’ R. Reel Sr., of Wheatfield, passed away July 28, 2026, at home with his family around him.

On December 16, 1955, Robb was born to Thomas Sr. and Patricia (Brook) Reel, in Hammond, Indiana. He was an Avionics Instrument Specialist in the United States Air Force. Robb was a jack of all trades, working all over in different fields, but he loved being a carpenter. He was a member at Graceway Bible Baptist Church, where he would help out as a handyman fixing what they needed. Robb enjoyed photography, race cars, but more than anything he loved to fish, especially up at the cabin he helped build in Canada.

Robb is survived by his mother: Patricia Reel, children: Robbie Reel Jr., Jamie Ryan, Vincent (Christy) Reel, grandchildren: Jorie Ryan, Josie Ryan, River Reel, Jett Reel, and siblings: Janet Turpin, Diana Boone, Sue (Kevin) Helton, Jennifer Reel, and Jesse (Angela) Reel.

Robb was preceded in death by his father: Thomas G. Reel Sr., and brother: Thomas G. Reel Jr.

Friends are invited to Celebrate Robb’s Life at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Graceway Bible Baptist Church, 9171 N 1000 W, DeMotte, with Pastor Caleb Han officiating. He will be buried at the Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Graceway Bible Baptist Church.
