Rodney E. Helton

62 year old, Rodney E. Helton, of Wheatfield, passed away November 5, 2023.

On July 14, 1961, Rod was born to Eugene and Hazel (Park) Helton, in Rensselaer, Indiana. Rod was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School, class of 1979. He worked in transportation in the Tin Mill. He married Leanne (Bukovic) on October 31, 1988, in Hammond, Indiana. Rod was a member of the Invaders M.C. for 28 years, and enjoyed riding with his brothers. He loved to work on anything with a motor, and was an avid firearms enthusiast.

Rod is survived by his wife: Leanne, daughter: Jodie, son: Vincent (Mary) Helton, and six grandchildren, siblings: Linda Helton, Lori (Brad) Wray, Lisa (Tim) Witkowski.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and two infant sisters.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.
