Roger W Recker

In Loving Memory of Roger William Recker

Son of Ahlrich and Dorothy Recker.

Roger William Recker, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on December 5, 1943, and spent his formative years on the family farm in DeMotte, Indiana.

Roger was a devout Christian, his faith guiding him in every aspect of his life. His love for music was evident from an early age, and he dedicated himself to the art of music. He was a musician who loved to share his extraordinary musical talents generously with his community, gracing church services and local events. Through his songs, he touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of hearing him play.

In addition to his musical talents, Roger had a passion for aviation. An amateur pilot, he found solace in the endless blue skies, embracing the freedom that flying brought him.

Beyond his accomplishments, Roger was a kind and gentle soul. His warm smile, jovial spirit and caring nature endeared him to all who knew him, making him a cherished member of his community.

Roger's legacy lives on through the music he played, and the hearts he touched.

Roger is preceded in death by his loving son, Brad Recker.

He is survived by his sister Diane Holmes and his two daughters: Brenda Johnson, and Darlene Recker, and two grandchildren: Thomas Edwards, Emma Edwards.

A private service to celebrate Roger's life will be held for immediate family.

Roger William Recker will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul find eternal peace and rest in the arms of the Lord.

With heartfelt condolences,

The Recker Family
