Ronald E. Walczak

71 year old, Ronald E. Walczak of DeMotte passed away February 5, 2015 at his home with his loving family around him.

On September 27, 1943, Ronald was born to Eugene and Aileen Walczak in Hammond, Indiana. Ronald served in the United States Air Force. He then married Carole Picciariello on May 25, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois at Sacred Heart Church. Ron worked as a field operator for American Maize. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to play Texas Hold’em at the Lowell Legion.

Ronald is survived by his loving family: wife: Carole, children: Gina (Rick), T.J. (Karen), Mark (Jen), 12 grandchildren, and sibings: Arlene (Jim) Kender, Shirley Kish, Denise Marshall, Chris Kois, Bill Walczak, sister-in-law: Kathy Salazar.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene & Aileen, sister-in-law: Joanne Walczak, brother-in-law: Larry Kish, and nephew: Steven Kish.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Christian Church of DeMotte. Services for Ronald will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor David Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, in Schererville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans or St. Jude’s Hospital.
