Roy Fairchild Jr.

78-year-old, Roy Fairchild Jr., of Francesville, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side on December 30, 2021

On May 27, 1943 in North Judson, Indiana, Roy was born to Roy Sr and Opal (Collingsworth) Fairchild. He was a truck driver by trade who liked to tinker with wheel horse lawn tractors. He served in the U.S. Army.

Roy is survived by his children: Darrick (Jody) Fairchild, Jennifer (Lynn) Johns, Matt (Anna) Fairchild, Brett (Katlynn Surfus) Fairchild, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews, siblings: Estil (Connie) Fairchild, Earl (Judy) Fairchld, Robert Fairchild, and Steve Fairchild.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, son: Hewitt, infant twin grandchildren, and sister: Vicky Nelson.

Per Roy’s request a private family Military graveside service will take place at White Post Cemetery.
