Ruby A. Leach-Land

72 year old, Ruby A. Leach-Land, of Bunker Hill formerly of Wheatfield, passed away October 24, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.

On September 16, 1946, Ruby was born in Lowell, Indiana to Glen and Jane (Parson) Leach. Ruby graduated from Crown Point High School. She married the love of her life, David L. Land, on March 22, 1967 in Cedar Lake, Indiana. She worked at the front desk at a hotel as a clerk for many years.

Ruby is survived by her husband: David L. Land, children: David L. (Jennie) Land II, Rebecca J. (Ryan) Adams, grandchildren: Michael D. Maxey, Austin D. Maxey, Duwain D. Wilson Jr., Kristina M. Maxey, Matthew J. Smith, Stephanie R. Land, Kaitlyn E. Smith, Rick L. Maxey, Tyler R.L. Adams, siblings: Alberta (Don) Kieper, Glen (Cyndi) Leach Jr., and Lori J. Leach, numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents: Glen & Jane, daughter: Ruth Maxey, granddaughter: Tereasa M. Land, brother: Guy Richard Leach.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018, at the Boersma Funeral Home. Services will take place at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018.

Per Ruby’s wishes cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
