Ruth Born

83 year old, Ruth I. Born, of DeMotte and Kniman, passed away August 5, 2008.

On April 18, 1925, in North Judson, Indiana, Ruth was born to Henry and Martha (nee: Hubner) Schacht. Ruth graduated from Knox High School in 1943. She married the love of her life, Otto Edward Born (who preceded her) on February 28, 1948. Ruth loved being a homemaker and raising her children, Deborah Jones and Edward & Cheri Born who survive. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: David & Debbie Pritchett, Shane Born, Michael Jones and Randy & Erin Smith; 5 great-grandchildren: Dustin & Dylan Pritchett, Brandon Jones (Born), Paige Smith, Madyson Born; sisters: Mabel Bachert and Vera Krsek.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Otto, grandson, Chad, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, In. Services for Ruth will be held at Faith Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2008 with Rev. Jared Rabel officiating. Interment will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
