Ruth Hebda

93 year old, Ruth Hebda of Wheatfield passed away October 3, 2018.

On April 16, 1925, in Hammond, Indiana Ruth was born to Andrew and Elizabeth (Arvay) Vancak. She graduated from Bishop Noll. On June 2, 1945, Ruth married the love of her life, Walter Joseph Hebda. Ruth enjoyed being a housewife. She was a member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church.

Ruth is survived by her sons: Rick (Rowena) Hebda and Walter ‘Dude’ Hebda Jr., 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Sr., son: Gerald, great-grandson: Hunter.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 with a 3:00 p.m. prayer service at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, Wheatfield, Indiana, with Father Paul Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Cemetery, Wheatfield, Indiana.
