Ruth E Nelson

95 year old, Ruth E. Nelson, of DeMotte, passed away March 1, 2020.

On February 9, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, Ruth was born to Fred and Jane (Meter) Hanko. Ruth married the love of her life, Donald R. Nelson (who preceded her). Ruth enjoyed being a housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Community Bible Church. Ruth liked to knit, cross-stitching, and especially loved to garden.

Ruth is survived by her children: Donna (Harvey) Lutz, David Nelson, Daniel Nelson, grandchildren: Joseph, Christopher, Marie, great-grandchildren: Joseph Jr. and Lofton.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Donald, grandson: Josh Nelson, and 7 siblings.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Community Bible Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services will take place at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rodney Tolleson officiating, interment will follow at the Holland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Bible Church and Every Child Ministry.
