Sandra L. Gard

79 year old, Sandra L. (nee: Lowry) Gard, of DeMotte, passed away June 27, 2020.

Sandra was born on October 31, 1940.  Sandra was born to William and Mary Ellen (Bottoroff) Lowry. She married the love of her life, Robert D. Gard Sr. (who preceded her) on February 18, 1956. She worked at DeMotte Elementary as a custodian for many years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Cape Coral, Florida. Sandra was also a matron for the Jasper County Sheriff. Sandra loved to shop till she dropped, going for a ‘ride’, and working in the garden.

Sandra is survived by her children: Robert D. (Diane). Gard Jr., Tina Woudema, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband: Robert D. Gard Sr., mother: Mary Ellen (Bottorff) Hines and step-father: Oscar Hines, father: William Lowry, and sister: Sally Dixon and son-in-law: Butch Woudema.

Per Sandra’s wishes cremation will take place.
