Scott Helton

62 year old, Scott Helton, of Wheatfield, passed away May 14, 2024, with his loving family around him.

On February 13, 1962, Scott was born to Vernon and Ruth (Wireman) Helton at Valparaiso, Indiana. He was a lifelong area resident, and a Kankakee Valley High School graduate, class of 1980. He married the love of his life, Debbi Shupe on August 14, 1998, in Jasper County. Scott was a self-employed, owner of Faith Homes Design Center, and a member of Sheet Metal Local #20. He liked boating, motorcycling, and stock car racing at Shady Hill. He liked football, architecture, and especially getting the family together – all of them. He really enjoyed the Indiana Beach gatherings and cook outs.

Scott is survived by his loving family: wife: Debbi, children: Charles (Amber) Conley, Brandon (Tia) Stansberry, Rebecca (Josh) Howerton, Shaina (Nick) Phillips, Andrew (Alyssa Dermody) Helton, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and brother: Rick (Rhonda) Helton.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon & Ruth, and sister: Connie (Myron) Davis.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Scott will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with Bernie Lane speaking. Interment will follow at Wheatfield Cemetery.
