Shane R. Olson

17 year old, Shane R. Olson, of Wheatfield, passed away February 16, 2024, as a result of a tragic auto accident.

On April 29, 2006, in Valparaiso, Indiana, Shane was born to Steven Olson and Lana Stalbaum-Olson.   Shane attended Kankakee Valley High School, and worked at Marcella’s. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, and liked cars. Shane especially liked spending time with his friends and family.

Shane is survived by his parents: Steven Olson and Lana Stalbaum-Olson, brothers: Steven A. Olson and Matthew Olson, grandmothers: Julie Olson and Carla Stalbaum.

Shane was preceded in death by his grandfathers: David Olson and Robert Stalbaum.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, Wheatfield, Indiana. Mass will take place at the church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at Kankakee Township Cemetery.
