Shirley A Bennett

80 year old, Shirley A. Bennett, of Francesville, passed away November 27, 2019 at her home with her loving family around her.

On April 19, 1939, Shirley was born to Edward and Crissy (Parish) Simpkins in McClure, Illinois. She graduated from high school and married Richard Dwain Bennett on August 24, 1957, in McClure, Illinois. She worked as a waitress. She loved to crochet and do needlepoint.

Shirley is survived by her son: Randy Dwain (Linda) Bennett, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: Richard, daughters: Dawn Marie and Marie Annette Pierce, grandchildren: Christopher Owens, and Chastity Bennett.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon, CST) at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield. Services for Shirley will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. (noon, CST) on Tuesday, with Pastor MacKillop officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
