Shirley A. Smith

79 year old, Shirley A. Smith, of Roselawn, passed away September 15, 2024.

On December 6, 1944, Shirley was born to Isabel (Encinias) Boyar in Chicago, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Clyde Smith. Shirley was a factory worker for Zegers in Lansing, Illinois in manufacturing division. Shirley enjoyed watching movies, shopping with her sisters. She was an awesome cook.

Shirley is survived by her children: Rhonda Voltattorni, Carolynn (John) DeVries, Matthew Smith, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Elena (Jose) Guevara, Sandy (Raymond) Rivas, John (Cassandra) Madrid.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde Smith, mother: Isabel, and sister: Christine Velasquez.

Per Shirley’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life will take place on October 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Suncrest Christian Church, 10009 Parrish Ave, St. John, IN 46373, with Pastor Jamie Ward officiating.
